Bonne lecture!

On Monday 4th April, we went to the National Museum of Sport in Nice.

First, we had a guide named Nicolas. We learnt a lot of things like the meaning of the Olympic Games rings. Did you know that they represent the union of the five continent? Each ring represents a continent. We also discovered how women had to be allowed to play sports and objects like the first bicycle. We saw the different Olympic torches/flames and many medals.

Then, we discovered a painting made by the artist C215. It was a representation of the football player Pelé in Brazil.

Sports can be dangerous. Nicolas told us a tragic story about Jules Bianchi, who was a formula 1 driver. He died in a crash during a race. After his death, the formula 1 leaders decided to create another protection to make the pilots safe.

Then, after the exhibition, we used stencils to make a portrait of us with spray painting. The goal of this activity was to discover how C215 worked.

Habiba: « According to me, this school visit was a really good idea. I learnt a lot of things and the activity was pretty good even if I thought the final result would be better. The museum is a good place to visit and I recommend it to the teenagers. »

Tania:  » the excursion was entertaining and useful. I learnt new things The second activity was a good idea because it was funny ».

Kenzo: « In my opinion, the visit was very entertaining because we discovered the history of sports and more precisely the Olympic Games. It’s also thanks to Nicolas because he was a good guide. But I preferred the second activity.  I was really impressed by C215’s painting with Pelé ».

Flavio:  » To my mind, the visit was enriching and original. Nicolas was very dynamic so the visit wasn’t boring. I learnt a lot of information and now, I know more about the history of sport. My favourite part of the visit was when we used our stencils because I had never done this before ».
